Kumaresan voice ind x

Kumaresan pitch index
1. Inaudible Sound: The simplest noise reduction works primarily by lowering efforts to talk.
2. Vocal fatigue, loss of intonation or expression,
3. Child voice: when they talk about their feelings or appropriately express them.
4. Ladies Voice: Warm and welcoming, a captivating voice entices. It sounds more like it is coming
out of the heart than the brain. It has pleasant, non-nasal tones.
5. Double Voice: The lower range of your voice is known as the chest voice, while the upper range is
known as the head voice. Lack of practice in mixing one's middle voice or register is a common
source of the discordant sensation that many people report experiencing while speaking. When
singing, the mix acts as a transition between the lower and higher registers.
6. Nasal voice is inappropriate because it increases airflow through the nose during speech.
7. Not stronger voice, manly, voice having no preference, or being uninterested, since one doesn't want
to indicate having any strong feelings
8. High Pitch: Most people think that women who speak with somewhat high-pitched voices are
prettier, younger, and more feminine.
9. Hoarseness is characterized by a shift in vocal quality or pitch, often resulting in a raspy or husky
tone.
10. Breathy voice: A breathy, airy singing voice means too much air with the sound of voice escaping
through the mouth. This causes a soft, breathy tone that's hard to hear.
Kumaresan pitch index before and after treatment: assessing the voice as per the patient's statement. All
have 10 qualities of voice. According to the first symptom enumerated by Puberphonia,
1. Inaudible: 27%
2. Vocal fatigue: 22%
3. Child voice: 11%
4. Female voice: 10%
5. Double voice: 9%
6. Nasal voice: 7%
7. Not a strong manly voice: 7%
8. High-pitched voice: 5%
9. Hoarseness: 1%
10. Breathy voice: 1%

Research: Uvula a speech organ
Clinical work done: Treatment done, 1400 cases of puberphonia (boys talking with female tone)
Reference: no reference in English literature on treatment using uvula except our 12 article on uvula in National & International Journals.
Research work needed.
To prove uvula a speech organ similar to vocal cords.
The absorption and reflection of fluorescence light by the uvula can be explored through the principles of fluorescence microscopy, particularly using techniques like Total Internal Reflection Fluorescence Microscopy (TIRFM).
Many references available in Indian literature like Tholkappium, Avvaiyar and Thirumular.

Siva Research

Siva Aim.
Development of a Voice Analyzer for Easy Diagnosis.
•Fabrication of a Stitching Machine
•Designing a Device for Energy Conversion Assessment for assessing the strength of energy
conversion and convert aerodynamics into acoustics in and around the uvula leading to a decrease
in the voice pitch.
•Organizing Free Puberphonia Screening Camps for puberphonia patients in schools, with diagnosis
and treatment provided by the research team, including supporting staff and co-investigators.
•Systematic Review and Analysis of UMAR Therapy that systematically reviews existing literature
and evaluates the effectiveness of UMAR (Uvula Manipulation and Resonanace) therapy in reducing
the severity of puberphonia.
1. Development of a Voice Analyzer for Easy Diagnosis
oThe research aims at designing and fabricating a specialized Voice Analyzer to detect and analyze
voice pitch variations
oCalibration and testing of the device to ensure accurate assessment of puberphonia.
oImplementation of the Voice Analyzer in clinical settings for early and precise diagnosis.
2.Fabrication and Utilization of a Stitching Machine
oDesign finalization of a Stitching Machine tailored for the project’s requirements.
oFabrication and testing to ensure functionality and precision.
oIntegration of the machine into the therapeutic process as needed.
3.Design and Assessment of Energy Conversion in Uvula Manipulation
oDevelopment of a device to evaluate the strength and location of aerodynamic-to-acoustic energy
conversion around the uvula.
oInvestigation of how uvula manipulation influences the transformation of high-pitched voices into
lower-pitched voices.
oExperimental validation through patient trials and acoustic analysis.
4.Conducting Free Puberphonia Screening and Treatment Camps
oOrganizing and executing screening programs in schools to identify puberphonia cases.
oProviding non-invasive treatment using the developed methodologies, with the support of research
staff and co-investigators.
oRecording and analyzing treatment outcomes for further refinement.
5.Systematic Review and Analysis of UMAR Therapy
oConducting an in-depth literature review on puberphonia and existing treatment approaches.
oEvaluating the effectiveness of UMAR (Uvula Manipulation and Resonance) therapy through case
studies and clinical trials.
oComparing UMAR therapy outcomes with conventional treatments to establish its efficacy in
lowering voice pitch.
